Buying gachapon online: how it works (and why the capsule arrives sealed)

Comprar gachapones online: cómo funciona (y por qué la cápsula llega cerrada)
Ilustración de la crónica

Buying a gachapon over the internet has an obvious paradox: if the whole point is the surprise of the machine, how does that translate to an online shop? Here is how we do it, no small print.

You choose the series, the gacha chooses the figure

In our collection every product is a series: the fluffy hamsters, the geckos in pajamas, the fried shrimp cats. When you order a capsule from a series, nobody chooses which figure goes inside, not you and not us. The capsule travels sealed and the moment of turning it, shaking it and opening it is yours, at home. It is the Japanese machine experience with delivery included.

Want better odds? Order several capsules from the same series. Prefer variety? Mix series; discounts apply to the whole basket, so mixing does not cost you anything.

Secret figures are real

Some series include a secret variant the maker does not show on the poster. If you pull one, congratulations: you are holding the most sought-after piece of the series. We cannot tell you the exact odds because not even the makers publish them, only that they drop rarely, which is what makes them special.

Straight talk about delivery times

Our capsules take 7 to 14 days to arrive. We say it on the site, in the basket and here, because we would rather you know before ordering than have you staring at the letterbox on day 3. Shipping is free from 10 euros; below that, 1.99.

A collector's tip

Do not open all your capsules at once. Seriously. One a day. The ritual of the surprise is half of what you paid for, and it is the half that cannot be repeated.
